This week, aside from the design exchange, I timed out my own project into a first draft animatic. All I really did for this was bring my rough crappy MS Paint storyboard into TV Paint, then isolate each drawing and time them. It didn't take too long, and the final result is a film that's just about 1 minute 40 seconds. For sound, I made a list of all the SFX I would need to search for on Metadigger:
I decided not to go with basically any ambiance sound, and to use minimal human sound. Metadigger doesn't even have any female vocals of gagging and coughing. The bug sounds are a mix of bee sounds, cartoon fly sounds, and wasp swarms. I used sound clips from the Hanna-Barbera and Warner Bros Cartoon libraries whenever possible.

Marcela and I partnered up for this homework assignment. We each had our first draft storyboards and knew what our areas of difficulty were. For me, it was the ending of my film and my character design. My ending is rushed and unrefined, and my character, well, I only really made like 2 drawings of the design I've landed on. She looks pretty good from the front, in basic poses, but I have no idea how to actually animate her.
Marcela's film is, like mine, a comedic story in which a self-insert type of goofy character goes through a gross but magical bodily expulsion that represents the director's anxiety. For Marcela, it was the climax of her story that she wanted help storyboarding. I was worried about overstepping in Marcela's project while working on this exchange because in her presentation she spoke about having a hard time finding her own style and artistic voice. I have my own ideas about what her film could look like based on her storyboards and I hope that my version of her story provides a starting point for her to go, "I don't want this moment to feel like this", "I don't feel like animating this," etc. Her story is so so funny and has a lot of potential. I redrew her storyboard into TVPaint and created a rough animatic directly. I timed it out to 2 minutes. The creative liberties I took are:
