These are rough animation examples for my Open Topic project.

My goal with this film is to animate drawings I made in my developmental years (ages 4-8) to track how my cognitive growth can be seen through drawings.

It is definitely a kind of explorational documentary, but I haven't storyboarded yet to decide how to present it. I definitely want to include some text to provide context.
The body of the film will consist of animation sequences similar to what you see here, except obviously more carefully done and with better timing.

For the soundtrack, I'd like to have music that matches the tempo of the animation. The mood would ideally be nostalgic in a happy way? I don't know anything about music so I don't know what to ask for. I will be really happy if anyone is interested in creating a soundtrack for this.
My ideas for animation sequences include:
  • a sequence of hand drawings (going from stubs, to lines as fingers, to too many fingers, to giant fingers, to recognizable hands)
  • a sequence of spelling (pretend letters, then real letters, then words)
  • a sequence of my name
  • sequences of animal drawings
  • a loop of scribbles for background/texture
  • insects (I drew a lot of them)
Picture
I don't know what this is but I want to use it in my film.
